Guided hike
A guided hike on Tigoni's farm tracks, forest paths and tea-field footpaths, about 30 km from Nairobi. We match the route and distance to your group, from an easy walk to a longer day with more climbing.
About this activity
Tigoni is crossed by red-earth farm tracks, shaded lanes under old trees, and narrow footpaths through the tea. Many of these cross private farms, which is why a guide helps: you can walk further without worrying about the way or about trespassing.
Before the hike we ask about your group's fitness and how long you want to walk, and choose a route to match. An easy route sticks to gentle farm tracks; a longer one adds hills and forest sections.
The paths are red earth and can be muddy and slippery after rain, especially from March to May. Good shoes make a big difference.
